Tip #5: Connect
LinkedIn connects you to different people form colleagues, to their trusted connections to a network that is bigger than your imagination so if you’re having trouble finding out whom to contact at the company, pick some names on LinkedIn that is the closest and pick up the phone. Of course, go ahead and tell them that you saw them on LinkedIn and introduce yourself. If you saw them on LinkedIn, they are in your network…somewhere. Ask for a name into the department you are looking to get into. If they give you the HR department, you can always ask for the name of the hiring manager and connect.
