Most of us have work or professional experience and even if you don’t and you are just finishing up college or high school, you can include your volunteer experience. Just make sure that your audience understands what your role was in each position and that you clearly state this in your resume.

You can emphasize the positions held by describing your skills but stay relevant and describe each position that elaborates the challenges you faced, what you did to overcome those challenges or daily duties and then what was the outcome. Writing your professional experience in this manner is more intriguing to your audience as opposed to writing your experience in a manner of what you did. Then elaborate on the achievements from your responsibilities or daily duties. You can give examples of what you did and then include bullet points of specific accomplishments. Creating a powerful resume takes creativity and imagination so ensure you include relevant information from your previous work experience.
